BucksPic
The combined Bowling Green, Elizabethtown and Owensboro regions of the Kentucky Innovation Network held their Awards Banquet at the WKU Center for Research and Development in Bowling Green on May 6, 2015. This event closed out the annual Bucks for Bright Ideas contest, a search for the “next big idea” in the region. This contest brings clients into the network for support and mentorship to move their ideas forward and help launch new businesses in the state.

Almost 100 business ideas were submitted from 21 of the 28 counties in the combined region. A total of 25 awards were announced, including several students or student teams from Lindsey Wilson and Western Kentucky University. The awards consist of over $30,000 worth of donated services by professional service firms and technology companies in the region. All entrants were advised to meet with their Kentucky Innovation Network office to advance their idea.
