Kentucky attracts (and retains) great companies – and we can prove it!

StartUpKy_Harvest

If you could picture the perfect evening that best represents the growing entrepreneurial economy in Kentucky – it was last night. National media, Kentucky startups, the Cabinet for Economic Development and the Innovation Network team mingled at Harvest restaurant, located in downtown Louisville,  where 18 companies gave 1-min elevator pitches and discussion centered on how startups are making a difference in Kentucky.

Cocktails and dessert followed at the newly renovated Nucleus Technology Center where guests enjoyed a short tour and a view of downtown Louisville from the beautiful rooftop garden. Each aspect of the evening uniquely showcased Kentucky companies, from  “Food to Table” restaurants to fast-growing technology businesses. The variety of companies represented made a strong statement about Kentucky’s ability to attract and retain quality businesses. Many companies stating specifically that they moved to this area because of the support they found within the startup ecosystem.

Please be sure to stop by our booth at Idea Festival this week! Our team of Directors would love to help you get plugged in to this thriving entrepreneurial community!
