UI Visual Designer
MakeTime, a fastpaced startup located in Lexington, Kentucky is looking to hire a UI Designer. We are out to change the world of manufacturing one pixel at a time. Truly unique opportunity to shape a revolutionary product!
You will work closely with the founders through multiple customer input driven iterations of our product. We get design. We value design. We want to make amazing UI/UX experience a part of our company from the start.
Technical Skills:
Adobe Creative Suite
Strong knowledge HTML, CSS, Javascript a must
Knowledge of Bootstrap, Angular and/or other frontend
frameworks a plus

Ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Experience designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications
Appreciation for iteration and process
Ability to collaborate with marketing and development team members
Love for exploration and experimentation coupled with attention to detail.
Strong ability to communicate with wireframes (digital or good ol’ pencil and paper)
Knowledge of common design patterns and best practices for mobile and web design

Back-End Developer
Technical Skills:
Deep knowledge of language/framework combo of your choice.
MVP is written in RoR but we are early enough in our development process to freely entertain other options.
Strong understanding of the full application web stack
Ability to leverage web development and testing tools such as Github, Semaphore, etc.
Experience deploying apps on AWS platform.

Ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Appreciation for iteration and process
Experience in leading/managing teams of coders (both onsite and offsite)
Familiar with issues related to code deployment and management
Experience in providing coaching for team members
